Pros: chic cabin design, spacious rear seat, powerful turbocharged engine, excellent traction from all wheel drive system, high tech gadgetry, high quality construction.
Cons: expensive in repair and maintenance, transmission hesitates, too firm adoptive suspensions.
Overview.
Audi A4 and BMW 320 are lines of compact executive carsproduced by the German car manufacturers Audi and BMW respectively. A compact executive car is a premium car larger than a premium compact and smaller than an executive car. The A4 model has been built under the Volkswagen group B platform with a 4 door saloon body style. The BMW also has the same 4 door saloon body style. Audi’s A4 has proven a wonder car that outperforms its rivals in nearly all testing metrics and proves to be the nicest entry luxury cars on sale.
MATCHUP.
Under six years all these cars are relatively similar in terms of costs and reliability nevertheless having the same saloon exterior outlook. The automobiles layout consists of a front engine design with transaxle –type transmissions mounted at the rear of the engine.

This provides a class leading acceleration of 5 seconds from zero to 60km/hr.
INTERIOR VIEW.
BMW 320 is comfort plus enhanced as its lean a spacious with classic dashboards. It has generous standard equipment which includes leather upholstery, decent audio, professional navigation system which is easy to use as it has an eye controller modified for easy touch and manoeuvres. It also has an upgraded iDrive controller, drive assist features such as electric adjust of the driver’s seat ,rain sensing and auto headlights. On the other side A4’s modern looking cabin does a good job of balancing form and function with high quality materials and easily accessible technology features. Most of the A4’s buttons and switches are right where you want them to be and feel substantial when you use them. The rear seat is among the most spacious in its class and features nicely shaped cushions. The infotainment system consists of a 7.o inch screen that’s controlled by rotary a rotary knob on the centre console. ECONOMY.
Audi A4 is remarkably fuel efficient with a fuel consumption rate of 18.3km/l whereas the BMW 320 has a consumption rate of 22.7 km/l. in terms of market value BMW 320i proves to be cheaper with cheapest used car ranging from KS 1,600,000-1,800,000 whereas the Audi A4 has a higher market value with the cheapest second hand car ranging from KS 1,800,000-2,200,000.
With reasonable amount of maintenance a modern vehicle can last to somewhere between 150,000-200,000 miles based on taking really good care of the car, doing all the required maintenance practises and replacing the parts that wear out. In terms of reliability Audi A4 is least, compared to the BMW320 model.
